The last 48 hours here in the city have basically been a food tour, and for the record, I’m not mad about it! If you’ve been around for awhile, you know Michael and I LOVE food. Here are a few of our favorite places in the city! Ippudo, Prince St. Pizza, Nobu, Mission Chinese, The Smith, Jacob’s Pickles, & Storico, to make a few! What’s your favorite restaurant in the city?
New York City, I can’t wait to see you in just a few hours! Hoping to see little bits of Christmas around the city. And actually kind of excited for the chilly weather, it was over 80 in Southern California yesterday😅 Ready for it to actually feel like the Thanksgiving and Christmas Season! And really excited for the next few days full of good food, many miles walked, and working in my favorite city that fills me with all sorts of creativity. The city of magic, I tell you💫
These four🥰 The best season is upon us! Thanksgiving just a few weeks away! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it feels like the party is just getting started. We get to enjoy great food, surrounded by family, living in gratitude AND we still have Christmas to look forward to! It’s also the season of portrait sessions galore. I always look forward to meeting and photographing couples & families this time of year! So grateful for the year I’ve had, my health, and all of the wonderful people I’ve met along the way.

My Auntie Al was a ballerina, a world traveler, and a perfect example of grace. Her love of the world, of cultures, of fashion, of fine food was contagious. She would send me post cards from wherever she was in the world and when she would come visit, she would bring some sort of gift or treat from where she was. Her perfect English accent was something I tried to replicate. She was tiny, poised, her professional ballet training left her with the perfect turnout even just when standing. She was ahead of her time and really lived life to the fullest. Every Black Friday, she would take me shopping for my Christmas dress. I would where these fancy dresses anywhere! She taught me that you can in fact wear a dress and heels to the grocery store if you want! She bought me my first @dior lipgloss. Taught me about designer purses and dresses that twirled. Taught me how to walk in pointed toe heels; the girl wore them ALWAYS. She didn’t care about current trends, but rather always tried to incorporate bits of fashion she saw around the world and just wore what she wanted. My favorite statement of hers was the bangle she wore around her bicep. She never took it off. It was so ~her. My love for fashion started young, runs deep, dare I even say it’s hereditary. My sixth grade class was interviewed for our school yearbook and we were all asked what we want to be when we grow up. That little 12 year old said “a professional model” (my dad worked for @cruiseamericarv then and volunteered me to be in the company summer catalog and I really thought this was the beginning of my modeling career🙈). Well, I’m 5’2 (at best, nowhere close to model height) and have realized that I love the camera and love fashion but I prefer being on the other side so I make others feel like super models!
Sending out a few galleries today! I shared some of my favorites from each session in my stories! ‘Tis the season for family portraits and I’m all about it. These sessions in homes, in favorite locations, and new places are filling me emotionally and creatively! I have one session time still available in Utah, and a couple in Seattle and New York!
